SPRINGS - A woman who is battling breast cancer suffered a setback last week when donations that she collected to help other survivors were stolen by burglars.

Chris Foran and her friends formed the "Heaven Can Wait" team to walk in the LI2Day Walk, which raises money for breast cancer survivors. Foran, who is undergoing final treatments herself for breast cancer, lost all of the money that she had raised when her Springs home was burglarized last week.

East Hampton police say someone found a hidden key and entered Foran's home last Tuesday. The burglars made off with jewelry and $1,000 in donation cash.

The burglary got Foran and her friends fired up, and they've already raised more than double the amount that was stolen.
