WOODBURY - A state fishing fee is being suspended for two years because of a budget agreement between assembly leaders and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.The plan temporarily rids fisherman of the controversial $10 state license set up in 2009.

According to Newsday, a free registry will now replace the license program.

Refunds will be available to anglers who already paid $150 for a lifetime license.
