FARMINGDALE - Two brothers took to the sky in a B-17 bomber to honor their dad's World War II service.
Tom Palumbo and his brother say they've been wanting to ride on the bomber since their father told him he flew some 50 missions on the airplane. Palumbo says his dad had wanted to fly on it again, but passed away before having the chance.
The brothers took off from the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale.
The Yankee Lady B-17 travels around the country, offering flights aboard the restored bomber.
