FARMINGDALE - Residents had a chance to speak out tonight regarding a new plan that would preserve more of the Carmans River.

The Brookhaven Town plan would limit development along a 10-mile stretch of the river.

The town could also acquire open space along the Carmans River Watershed.

The open meeting was held at Brookhaven Town Hall.
