Romaine says there will now be a part-time town employee who will drive throughout the town in search of illegal signs and remove them. (March 5, 2014 5:57 PM)

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine says he plans to enforce and strengthen the existing town code against illegal signage.

In many towns across Long Island, including Brookhaven, election signs, advertisement signs and signs for junk are illegal. Romaine says those who violate the town code could face a $250 fine.
