BRENTWOOD - ? News 12 Long Island?s Elyse Evans was live in Brentwood Sunday morning at the Brentwood High School where many families came in yesterday to seek shelter from Hurricane Irene. Officials say about 350 people came to the shelter with many trickling in as early as 4 a.m. A mother from Brentwood told News 12 Long Island that she was going to ride out the storm, but decided to go to the shelter early Sunday when the power went out and trees started falling.
