MASSAPEQUA PARK - Police arrested a 17-year-old Massapequa boy Thursday for allegedly spray painting swastikas around Brady Park in Massapequa Park.

The vandalism showed up two weeks ago near a shuffleboard court and on a picnic bench.

Police say Brendan Hogan faces several charges, including aggravated harassment, criminal mischief and making graffiti.

Hogan was released, but people inside the home at his address declined to answer the door for News 12.

Neighbors say the arrest surprised them because they have known Hogan to be nice and friendly.

Hogan is due back in court on Jan. 25 for his arraignment.
