VALLEY STREAM - Police say the body of a missing Long Island woman has been found in Queens.

Police tell News 12 Long Island that the body washed ashore on a beach in Breezy Point over the weekend.

The body has been identified as Marisha Cheong, 24, of Valley Stream. Cheong was living with her boyfriend in Jamaica, Queens until she disappeared on Dec. 19.

Her family says she was supposed to meet her boyfriend at a subway stop that day, but never showed up.

Distraught relatives say that they were told by police that she was found with her hands bound behind her back. She was wearing pajamas and Ugg boots.

Her cause of death is still unknown. Autopsy results are pending.

News 12 Long Island spoke to Cheong's boyfriend, LJ Balkran, about Cheong's mother's speculation that he had something to do with her death.

"I know myself I didn't have anything to do with it," he said. "And I want to find whoever did this and we're going to."

Balkran says he has been questioned by police and released.
