OYSTER BAY - The body of a well-known war correspondent from Oyster Bay who was killed in Syria last month is headed home to Long Island.

As News 12 Long Island has reported, a video surfaced Thursday showing that 56-year-old Marie Colvin had been buried in Homs, where she and her photographer died when the Syrian forces launched a rocket attack Feb. 22.

However, the Red Cross announced today that it has Colvin's body, which will be returned to her family.
