Body found in Mastic Beach marsh ID’d as Dianne Ross

Police say a body has been pulled from the marsh by police in Mastic Beach.

MASTIC BEACH - Police have identified the woman whose body was found in Mastic Beach.

According to police, the body of Dianne Ross, 63, of Mastic Beach, was found in a marsh at the end of Beaver Road. She was reported missing on Monday by her husband.

Police say Ross was seen floating in the canal just before 8 a.m. today by a fisherman.

News 12 spoke with residents who said the area is a local beach that people use.

An autopsy will be done to determine Ross' cause of death.
