Body found in Copiague identified as Elvis Canales

Canales was found Sunday afternoon in a parking lot on Ralph Avenue.

COPIAGUE - Police have identified a body found in Copiague in a dumpster.

Police identified the body as Elvis Canales, 27, of Copiague.

Canales was found Sunday afternoon in a parking lot on Ralph Avenue.

Police have not said how he died, but they do say he appears to have been a victim of violence.
