Bicyclist hospitalized, found lying in Dix Hills street

According to officials, Paul Rovelli, 69, was found lying on Carlls Straight yesterday afternoon.

DIX HILLS - Police say a bicyclist was found lying in the street in Dix Hills and they are trying to figure out how he was injured.

According to officials, Paul Rovelli, 69, was found lying on Carlls Straight yesterday afternoon.

This morning Rovelli is hospitalized in serious condition with a head injury.

Police are now trying to figure out how he wound up in the road.

News 12 Long Island has learned Rovelli was wearing a helmet when he was found.
