JONES BEACH STATE PARK - Today's damp and dismal weather forced state parks officials to cancel the Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach, but the annual Memorial Day event is scheduled to go on as planned on Sunday.

This is the air show's 10th year and it's the first time a full day of high-flying action was canceled.

State Parks Regional Director George Gorman says the poor weather posed a danger to the pilots and performers.

The Royal Canadian Air Force F-18 Demonstration Team are the headliners this year, after the Thunderbirds' performance was canceled due to sequester budget cuts.
