PATCHOGUE - A Bellport grandmother is facing numerous charges after she was arrested for allegedly driving drunk with three children in her car, then fleeing the scene of an accident.

Zona Taylor, 43, is also facing charges of aggravated driving while intoxiated with a child passenger, which is known as Leandra's Law.

Police say Taylor got into an accident on Montauk Highway in Patchogue, then fled the scene with her 8-year-old daughter and two grandchildren, ages four and six, in the car. A witness tracked her and police caught up with her a few miles away when they say her car stalled and she tried to flee on foot.

Taylor was arraigned and is due back in court on Oct. 26.
