WOODBURY - There is controversy over a Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone Facebook ad featuring a murdered police officer from Massapequa.

Bellone posted the ad after NYPD Detective Brian Moore was shot.

Bellone urged people to "Join me in keeping P.O. Moore, his family and all law enforcement in your thoughts and prayers.

However, Bellone's use of Moore's image paid for with his re-election funds has Republicans upset, according to Newsday.

County Legislator Tom Muratore calls it the "most tasteless thing I've seen in politics."
