WOODBURY - The race for Suffolk County executive is taking center stage as voters prepare to head to the polls tomorrow for Election Day.

Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone, a Democrat, is taking on Republican County Treasurer Angie Carpenter. Both Bellone and Carpenter say they have the experience to be in Suffolk's top spot.

Suffolk and Nassau counties are each dealing with tough financial times, and in both cases, the entire Legislatures are on the ballot.

In Suffolk, Democrats have a healthy 12-6 majority. But three Democratic legislators aren't running for re-election, and experts say Republicans have a shot at winning those seats.

And things could get just as interesting over in Nassau County. Republicans are trying to keep control in the Legislature, with Democrats needing to pick up just two seats to gain control. Bellone, Carpenter luring voters ahead of Election Day
