BAYVILLE - Most of the stores along Bayville Road have closed as the snow falls across Long Island.

For the most part, only the plows and power companies are on the road.
While residents stay home, Mayor Doug Watson was keeping his eye on the tides. Officials and residents alike fear flooding from the storm.

Watson says crews shored up some weak spots on the dune with extra sand to help protect homes and roads.
