MANHATTAN - A volunteer balloon handler from Long Island in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was injured yesterday.

Keri O'Connell told Newsday that she was handling the Buzz Lightyear balloon when a golf cart rolled over her foot, causing a fracture.

O'Connell is a volunteer from Franklin Square.

Spider-Man's left arm was also torn open by a tree branch, causing it to deflate during the parade.
