BALDWIN - A Baldwin pharmacist is accused of filling dozens of phony prescriptions and prosecutors allege the man was basically a drug dealer.

Lutful Chowdry was arrested yesterday and charged with filling 87 forged prescriptions that were scrawled on stolen pads.

The Nassau County district attorney's office says one of Chowdry's clients was Kayla Gerdes, a teen who was allegedly high when she ran over and killed a retired Hempstead woman last year.

The woman's son says he blames the pharmacist and wants justice for the death of his mother.

Chowdry faces up to seven years in prison if convicted.
