WOODBURY - Kids may not be the biggest fans of going back to school every fall but they sure do love the new clothes! Newsday style writer Ann Bratskeir teamed up with News 12's Elisa DiStefano for a look at the latest fashion trends for this school year.

Better start working on that British accent. From T-shirts to nail polish, a big trend in Bloombingdale's has everything to do with Great Britain.

Fall means it's leather weather! But don't shell out the big bucks on the real stuff when you can go faux for fall. Faux leather fabrics are much more practical for growing kids.

Animal print pants and accessories are so 'in' this season. You can also find hints of metalic colors in items such as sweaters and sneakers.

Other trends that are hot in the hallways this year are nods to punk, plaid and vintage looks.
