RIVERHEAD - The Mastic teen accused in a fatal DWI crash that killed his two friends appeared before a judge today in criminal court in Riverhead. His attorney says his client is innocent, as he wasn't the one driving.
Ryan Foote, 17, is accused of driving drunk and crashing his car in Manorville in July. His two friends, 18-year-old James McClease and 17-year-old Rashawn Minter, were both killed. Foote's attorney says all three passengers were thrown from the car upon impact, and the prosecution has no way of proving Foote was driving. Foote remains in jail, unable to make $100,000 cash bail or $250,000 bond. He is due back in court on Nov. 2.
