RIVERHEAD - The defense strategy for a Mastic teen accused of driving drunk and killing his two friends has changed. Ryan Foote, 17, was expected to face a judge today after he was indicted for aggravated vehicular homicide, but the case was adjourned. Police say Foote's blood alcohol content was nearly twice the legal limit when he crashed in July, killing 18-year-old James McClease and 17-year-old Rashawn Minter.Foote?s attorney tells News 12 Long Island that they are pushing to get him out of jail because he is innocent. The attorney says investigators have determined that he did not drive the car involved in the fatal accident.
