MEDFORD - The police raid this morning that netted two suspects in the Medford drug-store murders has left a quiet neighborhood stunned by the possibility that a killer may have lived next door.

Medford resident Ann Pikof says she was on edge before police arrested 33-year-old David Laffer and his wife, 29-year-old Melinda Brady, in connection with Sunday's quadruple homicide at Haven Drugs.

"It's sad because I never thought anything like this would ever happen in Medford," she says.

Local residents say they are struggling to grasp what could've pushed someone to murder four innocent people, but they are glad police acted quickly.
