ROCKY POINT - An Army veteran's house in Rocky Point is getting an extreme makeover thanks to Habitat for Humanity.

Tommy Sullivan, an original member of Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, had severe damage to his house during Superstorm Sandy.

Habitat for Humanity is gutting and rebuilding the two-bedroom home after a tree branch damaged the roof, causing numerous leaks.

Habitat For Humanity says there's going to be a lot of work done at the house. By the time it's finished, it will have cost about $80,000.

Veterans from Smith-Weaver Post 651, of Sayville, are volunteering their time to do much of the work.

The house is expected to be completed in eight to 10 weeks.
