LAGUARDIA AIRPORT - Some passengers are finally heading home today after this weekend's blizzard brought air travel to a halt, but for others, the waiting continues.

Officials say just before 10 a.m., the first Southwest flight after the storm arrived at MacArthur Airport and another flight was departing just minutes later.

Throughout the day, flights have also slowly resumed at LaGuardia and JFK airports, but because airlines canceled thousands of flights, many passengers could wait days to find an open seat.
