ISLIP - Officials at Vegas-based Allegiant Air say they will start taking passengers from Long Island to Florida.
The weekly service from MacArthur Airport to Fort Myers will start on Dec. 20.
Flights down to Florida will leave Friday evening and then the return flights will be on Monday.
Allegiant advertises its introductory ticket as $99 round-trip, but check its website.
The first five months the airline says passengers will also pay $35 for each bag, even carry-ons.
However, starting May 1, it will cost $50 per bag.
