ISLIP - Some animals that were previously abused are now up for adoption.

The pitbulls are up for adoptions after being rescued by the SCPCA this weekend.

As News 12 reported, Harry Tommy Patrick was arrested for allegedly hoarding eight dogs in his Central Islip home.

Authorities say the dogs were found chained up and in unsanitary conditions.

The dogs have been nursed back to health and are ready for adoption at the Town of Islip Animal Shelter.
