Sophomores and juniors at Jericho High School are encouraging millions of people from around the world to do a good deed on the upcoming 10th

JERICHO - Sophomores and juniors at Jericho High School are encouraging millions of people from around the world to do a good deed on the upcoming 10th anniversary of Sept. 11.

The students are participating in "A Day of Service," which was inspired by Jericho alum Jay Winuk whose brother, Glenn, was killed in the terrorist attacks.

The group is organizing a walk-a-thon for the anniversary, making origami art to symbolize peace and creating thousands of cards for victims' families.
