WOODBURY - A group of five young men were charged today in a string of violent armed robberies around Suffolk County. The men, who range in age from 16 to 27 years old, are accused of robbing a pharmacy, a jewelry shop and several other businesses in western Suffolk. They were formally indicted on multiple counts of first-degree robbery and criminal weapon possession. The men allegedly carried out the robberies beginning in December of last year, right up until earlier this month.
