The truck plowed into I.J. Morris Funeral home in Hempstead.

HEMPSTEAD - Police say five people are recovering today after a pickup truck plowed into a Hempstead funeral home last night.

According to police, the driver lost control, hit several other vehicles and backed into the I. J. Morris Funeral Home.

Officials say four people and the driver were taken to hospitals.

No one in the funeral home was hurt.

Police say the unidentified driver is being tested for drugs and alcohol.
