ROCKY POINT - Three women and a man were wounded overnight when gunfire erupted inside a Rocky Point nightclub.

Police say at around 3:30 a.m., someone walked into Oxygen Bar and opened fire, hitting four people. According to investigators, none of the victims' injuries are life-threatening.

Ed Maher, the owner of Tilda's Bakery located across the street from the club, says he and other business owners are fed up with the violence that happens at Oxygen Bar almost every weekend.

"I think the bar has been an absolute disaster for this community," says Richard Johannesen, of the Rocky Point Civic Association.

Johannesen and other community leaders are now pushing to have the bar shut down by the town.

So far, no arrests have been made in the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
