3 teens seriously injured in Oakdale crash

Officials say three teenagers are in serious condition after crashing into a telephone pole. The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on Locust Avenue

OAKDALE - Officials say three teenagers are in serious condition after crashing into a telephone pole.

The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday on Locust Avenue in Oakdale.

Police tell News 12 Long Island James Conway, 18, was driving north on Locust Avenue when he crossed into the southbound lane and hit a pole. One of his friends was thrown from the car. The other had to be rescued by emergency crews. 

All three teens are now in serious condition at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
