HICKSVILLE - Three people, including two children, were hospitalized Sunday following an accident at the intersection of Old Country Road and South Broadway.

Police say a SUV traveling on Old Country Road collided with a Nissan sedan making a left turn onto South Broadway.

Authorities say a 3-year-old was ejected from the Nissan and suffered head trauma. A 12-year-old passenger in the Nissan sustained lacerations to the head and face. The female driver of the Nissan suffered minor injuries.

Officials say all three were taken to the hospital and are being treated. The other driver was not hurt.

Police say no criminality is suspected at this time, but both vehicles have been impounded for an investigation.
