RIVERHEAD - Three suspected drunken drivers pleaded not guilty today to a slew of charges related to allegedly driving the wrong way in Suffolk County on separate occasions.
Prosecutors say Ralph Cerullo, who was to be named the chief financial officer at Dowling College next month, is facing numerous charges, including reckless endangerment. The 54-year-old man was allegedly drunk behind the wheel when he drove the wrong way on Sunrise Highway in Sayville Dec. 8.
Timothy Griffin is accused of driving drunk in the wrong direction on the Long Island Expressway that same night. He is facing 21 charges.
The next night, Christopher Williams was arrested after allegedly driving the wrong way on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.
Police say 10 drivers have been arrested for driving the wrong way over the past few weeks.
