RONKONKOMA - Shotgun blasts through a front door early this morning injured a man and a woman in Ronkonkoma.

The two were shot through the front door of a Pawnee Street home around 4 a.m.

News 12 has learned that the house went into foreclosure back in 2010 and that the couple who owned it are in their early 50s.  Police say the victims are a 21-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman.  Someone pulled into the driveway early this afternoon but would not answer questions.

Neighbors say they’ve seen police called to the home many times over the past several years. However, they say the early morning shooting is a first for the quiet neighborhood.

Neighbors tell News 12 that the people living at the home are squatters. Police will not say if the victims are residents of the home

Police are looking for the shooter and trying to determine a motive.
