NORTH BABYLON - Police say two North Babylon homes were damaged this morning after an out-of-control truck slammed into a car, setting off a chain reaction. Investigators say 29-year-old Joseph Tyminski was exiting Sunrise Highway just before 9 a.m. when he lost control of his truck. He crashed into a parked car, which spun around and slammed into two nearby homes. Neighbors say it's not the first time drivers getting off of the highway have caused crashes. The state's Department of Transportation says it plans on doing a study to see if guardrails or other safety measures may be needed in the area. Police say Tyminski was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. They say the crash remains under investigation but drugs and alcohol are not believed to have been involved.
