FREEPORT - Two men from Long Island were among three people who were killed when a church van crashed in upstate New York on Sunday.

Officials say a tractor-trailer slammed into the van, which was making its way back from a religious retreat. Investigators say the van had failed to stop at a stop sign in Sullivan County.

Seven men were in the van at the time, and all were members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Brooklyn.

Ricadeau Anantua, 33 of Freeport, was killed. Originally from Haiti, Anantua was a pastor at the church and leaves behind a wife and 4-year-old son.

Garry Edouard, 48, of Wyandanch, and Miguel St. Louis, age 17, of Brooklyn, were also killed.

A father and son from Elmont were injured in the accident.

No criminal charges have been filed in the case, but officials say it remains under investigation. Drugs or alcohol are not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
