2 firefighters injured battling Amityville blaze

AMITYVILLE - Officials say two firefighters were hurt battling a fire in Amityville.

The fire broke out on Macdonald Avenue just before 8 a.m.

A firefighter tells News 12 one of his fellow volunteers suffered a second-degree burn and another heat exhaustion. No one else was hurt.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
