WADING RIVER - Two candidates are vying for the open Suffolk Legislature seat vacated by Ed Romaine when he became Brookhaven supervisor.

Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter is running as a Republican and Southold Town Councilman Al Krupski is running as a Democrat.

The special election is being held Tuesday, Jan. 15.
