2 brush fires reported on East End

Fire officials tell News 12 the wind is making it difficult to fight the flames. (3/26/14)

EASTPORT - Officials say volunteer firefighters saved several homes from a brush fire on the East End today.

Chopper 12 was over the scene in Eastport on Eastport-Manor Road, where the fire came close to homes in the area.

Officials tell News 12 there was also a brush fire in Westhampton.

Fire officials say the wind made it hard for them to fight the flames.

Officials say there were no injuries.
