BRENTWOOD - Two high school students from Brentwood who struck a chord with top military brass have been chosen to perform with the U.S. Army's marching band.Christian Crawford and Melissa Brown beat out 1,300 applicants nationwide to be among 125 students that will don uniforms and play with the U.S. Army All-American Band.The two play the trumpet and the piccolo. They were selected based on both their musical skills and their character.On Jan. 5, Crawford and Brown will perform at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl at the Alamodome in Texas.
