BELLE TERRE - The Long Island couple that won a $162 million Mega Millions jackpot is reflecting on the many ways its life has changed since winning nearly a year ago.

After scoring the largest lottery prize ever on Long Island, Richard and Mary Morrison moved from a modest four-bedroom home in Miller Place to a 13,000 square-foot home in Belle Terre worth $4 million.

The Morrisons say they also took their family to Hawaii to renew their wedding vows and also bought cars for their children.

As News 12 Long Island reported, Suffolk County filed a $1 million lawsuit against the couple. The county claimed the couple overcharged for equipment and pensions that were never funded while they operated county shelters for more than 20 years.

Both parties are due back in court next month.
