BETHPAGE - Police say 14 vehicles were vandalized with hate symbols Tuesday night in Bethpage.
Authorities say swastikas were drawn in blue chalk on the passenger-side windows of vehicles between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. in the area near Irving Street.
Neighbors say they were shook up when they found the symbols on their vehicles Wednesday morning. One neighbor, a World War II veteran, says he believes kids were most likely the culprits.
Police say are investigating the incident.
Anyone with information about the vandalism is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
