WOODBURY - Suffolk County police arrested 11 people at an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Lindenhurst.

The checkpoint was in operation in front of Babylon Town Hall on Sunrise Highway, and all people were arrested between Saturday at 11:30 p.m. to 2:40 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a total of 863 cars passed through the checkpoint.

Police in both Nassau and Suffolk counties have warned drivers about stepped-up DWI patrols on the roads and waterways this holiday weekend.
