MASTIC - Police say one person was injured in a Mastic house fire.

In video obtained by News 12, flames can be seen shooting out of a home on Montauk Highway around midnight.

Fire officials say the house was vacant, but an unidentified man was pulled out of the fire.

The Mastic Fire Department says the man suffered significant burns to the hands and face and was taken to Stony Brook Hospital.

Officials tell News 12 it took 45 minutes and more than 50 firefighters to extinguish the blaze.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but both Suffolk arson squad and the town fire marshal are investigating.
