MASSAPEQUA - State police say a three-car crash on the Southern State Parkway early today killed one person and injured three others.

Troopers say the crash occurred at around 5:30 a.m. and forced the closure of eastbound lanes from the Bethpage State Parkway.

According to Newsday, South Farmingdale Fire Chief Edward Purpora says one vehicle was upside down and another was "in the woods, cut in half."
