1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting on Grand Avenue in Baldwin

Police say one man was killed and other was injured in a shooting Baldwin early Saturday morning.

BALDWIN - Police say one man was killed and other was injured in a shooting Baldwin early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a disturbance in front of Love Jones Cafe on Grand Avenue at around 3:45 a.m.

Detectives say a 22-year-old man had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the leg. He was hopsitalized for treatment and released.

The victims' identities have not yet been released. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
