Eileen Lehpamer

Eileen Lehpamer is an Emmy-nominated journalist who has won numerous awards for her reporting. She joined News 12 Long Island in 2003.

Lehpamer was born and raised in New York, and truly knows the city and the Island. In addition to the 2011 Emmy nomination for her work on a series about Long Island gangs, Lehpamer has two Edward R. Murrow awards to her credit, along with awards from The Associated Press, The New York Press Club, The Society of Professional Journalists and the Press Club of Long Island for both her television and radio reporting.

Lehpamer got her start at WFUV-FM - an NPR-affliate based at Fordham University. Her journalism background also includes time as a news writer at WABC-TV and WPIX-TV, and a reporter for 1010WINS radio, the B-B-C, WOR and WABC radio.

Lehpamer is an active member of the exclusive Inner Circle of City Hall Journalists, inducted in 2005. She is also published in the book: Covering Catastrophe: Broadcast Journalists Report September 11th.

Lehpamer received a BA from Fordham University in the Bronx.
