Drew Scott has been a TV and Radio veteran for over 40 years. His first broadcasting job was at ZBM on the island of Bermuda. His assignments have also included White House and Washington correspondent for WPIX-TV and National Correspondent for Tribune Broadcasting.

Prior to joining News 12 Long Island in 1997, Drew was Anchor and founding News Director of WLNY Channel 10/55, as well as a New York correspondent for NBC, MSNBC and WNBC-TV.

Drew is the winner of the prestigious EMMY award, Edward R. Murrow Award for journalism excellence and has been cited for awards by the Associated Press, Deadline Club, and the Long Island Press Club for his coverage of the LIRR Massacre, Avianca Airlines Plane Crash, and was recognized for his reporting of the Reagan Presidential shooting in Washington. He also covered the arraignment of the "Son of Sam" killer David Berkowitz.

Drew nurtured and instructed many of the current anchors and reporters in our area while serving in the mid 1980's as News Director/Bureau Chief of "LI News Tonight" at New York Institute of Technology, and taught communications and broadcast journalism at local colleges.

A resident of Westhampton, Drew is married, has 4 grown children and is a grandfather.
