Jets offensive lineman, Giants GM voted into Pro Football Hall of Fame

Longtime New York Jets offensive linemen Winston Hill and celebrated New York Giants general manager George Young were selected today as members for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2020 Centennial Class.

Jets offensive lineman, Giants GM voted into Pro Football Hall of Fame
Longtime New York Jets offensive linemen Winston Hill and celebrated New York Giants general manager George Young were selected today as members for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2020 Centennial Class.
Hill, who protected quarterback Joe Namath in Super Bowl III, was chosen to play in four AFL All-Star Games in 1964 and 1967 through 1969. He also made four Pro Bowls between 1970 through 1973.
Hill holds the franchise mark for offensive linemen with 195 consecutive games played and 174 consecutive starts. He played both offensive line and defensive line in college at Texas Southern and was an All-American. He played 14 seasons with the Jets.
Hill is a member of the Jets' first Ring of Honor Class along with Joe Namath, Don Maynard, Joe Klecko, Curtis Martin and Coach Weeb Ewbank.
He was 74 when he died in the spring of 2016.
 Young served as general manager of the Giants from 1979 to 1997, including during the team’s Super Bowl XXI and Super Bowl XXV victories. He was named NFL Executive of the Year five times.
He was 71 when he died in December of 2001.
